About the Croatia Category D Theory Exam
Croatia's Category D driving theory exam qualifies drivers to operate passenger motor vehicles designed and constructed for carrying more than 8 passengers in addition to the driver, including city transit buses, regional coaches, and long-distance tourist buses. Administered by Hrvatski autoklub (HAK), the Prometni propisi i sigurnosna pravila (PPSP) examination tests candidates on passenger safety and comfort, organized transport of school children, emergency door release mechanisms, escape hammers, fire suppression equipment, EU driver hours and rest periods under Regulation (EC) 561/2006 (including the 12-day international occasional service derogation), digital tachographs, air suspension kneeling systems, retarder operation, rear overhang tail-swing dynamics, and intersection priority.
