1Under Article 24 of the French law of 6 July 1989, how long after an unsuccessful commandement de payer may a residential lease's clause résolutoire take effect for unpaid rent or charges?
A.One month
B.Two months
C.Six weeks
D.Three months
Explanation: Since the 2023 amendment, Article 24 states that the termination clause takes effect six weeks after a commandement de payer that remains unsuccessful. The notice must itself state this six-week period and other statutory information.
2In a household budget assessment, what does reste à vivre most usefully describe?
A.The resources left after the set of committed or essential charges defined for the assessment has been deducted, interpreted with household composition and needs
B.The balance of the current account on the interview date, regardless of bills still due
C.A single national eligibility threshold that every social service must calculate with the same formula
D.Household income after deducting only consumer-credit instalments
Explanation: Reste à vivre is a budget-analysis indicator, not one universally standardized national threshold. The professional should state which resources and charges were included and interpret the result in light of household size, irregular costs, and essential needs.
3Which body examines the admissibility and treatment of an individual's French overindebtedness application?
A.The Commission départementale de conciliation for rental disputes
B.The commission de surendettement des particuliers, whose secretariat is provided by the Banque de France
C.The Commission d'attribution des logements of the applicant's preferred social landlord
D.The household's bank, acting alone as the statutory overindebtedness commission
Explanation: The departmental commission de surendettement examines individual overindebtedness files under the Consumer Code, with the Banque de France providing the secretariat. Creditors and banks participate in the wider process but do not replace the commission.
4What does non-substitution mean in an individualized CESF intervention?
A.The professional never demonstrates a task, even when the person requests practical learning support
B.The person must complete every administrative step alone before receiving advice
C.The professional withdraws whenever a person makes a choice the professional considers financially risky
D.The professional supports understanding and action without routinely taking over decisions and tasks the person can carry out with appropriate support
Explanation: Non-substitution protects agency and skill development. Support can include explanation, demonstration, advocacy, or temporary assistance; the key is not to convert assistance into unnecessary control or dependence.
5What is the central role of the commission de médiation in the DALO process?
A.To decide whether an applicant meets the statutory criteria to be recognized as priority and urgent for housing or accommodation
B.To allocate a named vacant dwelling directly on behalf of every social landlord
C.To determine the amount of housing benefit payable by the CAF
D.To adjudicate the termination of a private residential lease
Explanation: The DALO mediation commission examines the application and decides whether the household should be recognized as priority and requiring urgent housing or accommodation. The subsequent obligation to make an appropriate offer belongs to the State through the prefect.
6Which design is most appropriate for an adult workshop on preparing nutritious low-cost meals?
A.A lecture on nutrition standards followed by a recall test, with no handling of ingredients or prices
B.Participants compare prices and labels, prepare a chosen recipe, calculate its cost, taste the result, and discuss how to adapt it at home
C.A demonstration completed entirely by the facilitator so participants do not risk making mistakes
D.A fixed menu selected before any discussion of dietary needs, equipment, culture, or participant goals
Explanation: Experiential adult learning connects knowledge to an immediate task and gives participants a role in problem-solving. Price calculation, food handling, adaptation, and reflection make the learning transferable to daily life.
7Which sentence most clearly distinguishes an observed fact from a professional hypothesis in a social report?
A.The tenant is irresponsible because the electricity bill was unpaid
B.The family clearly intends to mislead every service involved
C.The bill dated 12 April remained unpaid on 3 June; the household reports an income interruption, which should be verified during the budget assessment
D.The arrears prove that the family cannot manage independent housing
Explanation: The preferred sentence dates a verifiable fact, attributes reported information to its source, and labels the next analytical step. It avoids converting a financial event into a character judgment or deterministic conclusion.
8Subject to statutory exceptions, what is the ordinary withdrawal period for a consumer entering a distance or off-premises contract under Article L. 221-18 of the Consumer Code?
A.Seven calendar days
B.Ten working days
C.Thirty calendar days
D.Fourteen days
Explanation: The ordinary withdrawal period is fourteen days, with the starting point depending on whether the contract concerns services or goods. Specific contracts, goods, and performance begun under defined conditions may be subject to exceptions.
9Which evaluation design best assesses whether a social grocery program is producing more than short-term food distribution?
A.Combine agreed outcome indicators with participant experience, examine change over time and alternative explanations, and include unintended effects
B.Report only the kilograms of food distributed because throughput is an objective measure
C.Ask staff whether the program feels successful and exclude participant data to protect confidentiality
D.Measure commercial profit and treat any deficit as proof that the social program failed
Explanation: Throughput is useful but cannot establish effects on food security, autonomy, social connection, or household goals. A proportionate mixed-method evaluation connects implementation to outcomes and tests rather than assumes attribution.
10What is the main purpose of a participatory closing review at the end of individualized support?
A.To obtain the person's signature confirming that every professional objective was achieved
B.To review the person's experience, changes, unresolved needs, resources, and follow-up choices while making the ending explicit
C.To compare the person publicly with other service users who progressed more quickly
D.To prevent future contact with services so closure appears permanent
Explanation: A closing review recognizes the person's assessment of the work, consolidates learning and resources, identifies remaining risks, and plans appropriate continuity. Closure is a transition, not a demand for agreement with the professional's judgment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which DECESF framework applies in 2026?

The 22 August 2018 order remains the operative framework for 2026 certification. The order published in October 2025 applies to entrants beginning in September 2027, so its four-block curriculum should not be presented as the current 2026 route.

Who can enter the DECESF year?

The standard route follows the BTS Économie Sociale Familiale. The order also governs access through validation, credit, and prior-certification arrangements, which should be checked with an approved provider for the candidate's circumstances.
