About the ICFES Saber 3° Exam
The ICFES Prueba Saber 3° is part of Colombia's Pruebas Saber 3°, 5°, 7° y 9°, a national strategy to measure learning in basic education. ICFES and the Ministry of National Education apply it through schools to students in third grade. Officially, grade 3 sits two tests: Competencias Comunicativas en Lenguaje: Lectura and Matemáticas, plus auxiliary questionnaires. It is a Spanish-language system-quality assessment, not a university-entrance exam. This free bank is an English-language four-option MCQ study adaptation: reading items keep Spanish passages because Spanish comprehension is the skill being tested, while explanations are in English. It is not an official ICFES translation or a simulation of the school testing conditions.
Assessment
Grade 3 students present Competencias Comunicativas en Lenguaje: Lectura and Matemáticas. Unlike grades 5, 7 and 9, they do not sit Ciencias Naturales, Competencias Ciudadanas, or Escritura (ICFES/MEN).

School-based sessions during the ICFES application window; a single published clock time is not on the program page
Passing Score
No pass/fail cut score; ICFES reports niveles de desempeño for system-quality measurement.
Exam Fee
No individual candidate fee published; schools register students through Prisma (ICFES). (ICFES (Instituto Colombiano para la Evaluación de la Educación))
