ENAM Administration Cycle A Study Tips from Top Performers
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the official examination format of the ENAM Cycle A Division Administrative concours?
Four written papers of 4 hours each are sat at the single Yaoundé centre over two days: Culture Générale (coefficient 4), Droit Constitutionnel (coefficient 3), Économie Générale (coefficient 2) and one speciality paper (coefficient 5). Candidates declared admissible then sit a grand oral and an oral de langue at ENAM, each carrying coefficient 1.
Which sections are open in the Division Administrative for Cycle A, and how many places does each carry?
For the 2026/2027 session MINFOPRA opened 70 places: Administration Générale 40 places (speciality paper: Droit Administratif), Administration du Travail 20 places (Droit du Travail), and Administration des Affaires Sociales 10 places (Psychologie). Sixty places were reserved for external candidates and ten for internal candidates. The section is chosen when the file is lodged.
Can a serving civil servant sit this concours?
Not as an external candidate — the arrêté expressly bars established civil servants of any category from the external competition. There is, however, an internal quota reserved for Category B officers of the Administration Générale, Administration du Travail, Administration des Affaires Sociales and Régies Financières corps who have at least five years' seniority in grade on 1 January of the concours year and are aged 45 at most; they must also produce a copy of their integration act and an authorization to compete from the Minister of Public Service.
What mark is needed to pass?
The arrêté fixes no pass mark; it fixes places. Under décret n° 2000/696/PM of 13 September 2000, admissibility is acquired without any eliminatory mark for a total corresponding to an average of at least 10/20 (Article 53), and a candidate must obtain an overall average of at least 12/20 across all the papers to be finally admitted, within the limit of the places offered (Article 54).
How does this practice question bank relate to the real ENAM concours?
The official concours is written in French or English as dissertations and case papers and finishes with oral tests before a jury; it contains no multiple-choice questions. This bank is an English-language multiple-choice study adaptation, not an official translation or a simulation of the real format. It is built to help candidates consolidate the legal, economic, administrative and psychological doctrine that the official papers draw on.
