About the Administrateur Pénitentiaire CI Exam
The concours direct d'administrateur des services pénitentiaires is the entrance competition to the cycle supérieur of the École du Personnel Pénitentiaire of the Institut National de Formation Judiciaire, which recruits the senior managers of the Ivorian prison service under the Ministère de la Justice et des Droits de l'Homme. It is open to Ivorians aged 18 to 45 holding a Master, a Maîtrise, or an equivalent diploma in any discipline. Selection is by four written admissibility papers totalling 13 hours — sujet d'ordre général, organisation du système pénitentiaire de la Côte d'Ivoire, droit pénal, and organisation judiciaire — followed by a short oral exposé and interview. Trainees at the INFJ campus in Yamoussoukro study custodial security, the management of Maisons d'Arrêt et de Correction, sentence execution, dynamic security, social rehabilitation and vocational reintegration, and compliance with the UN Nelson Mandela Rules. The EPP runs separate competitions for the contrôleur, attaché, and agent d'encadrement grades; those are distinct concours with their own diploma requirements and papers. The official competition is conducted in French. This 100-question bank provides an English-language MCQ study adaptation.

For the 2026 session the written papers were sat on 18 and 19 July 2026.
