About the DETRAN Categoria A Exam
The Brazil DETRAN Category A theory test is the national first-licence knowledge exam for motorcycle candidates. Under CONTRAN Resolution 1,020/2025, the exam has 30 objective multiple-choice questions with four alternatives and one correct answer, and candidates pass with at least 20 correct answers.
