About the Burkina Faso Code de la Route (B) Exam
Category B is Burkina Faso's light-vehicle driving licence (PTAC not exceeding 3,500 kg and not more than eight passenger seats besides the driver). Loi n°005-2018/AN requires an approved auto-école course, a medical certificate, a theoretical interrogation on the highway code and road safety, and a practical driving test. Arrêté n°2016-009 sets a minimum 40 hours of Category B theory and 36 hours of practical training, and its Annexe 2 fixes the pass marks at 25/30 for the code and 20/30 for the practical. The official exam is conducted in French and in national languages such as mooré, dioula and fulfuldé. This free English MCQ bank is a study adaptation of the Category B code de la route — not an official translation, not a format simulation, and not a substitute for the practical driving test.
Assessment
