HSC Studies of Religion I is NESA’s 1-unit Year 12 religion course. The external exam is 50 marks in 1 hour 30 minutes (+ 5 minutes reading): Section I Australia post-1945 (15 marks), Section II depth-study short answers (15 marks), and Section III a depth-study extended response on a different tradition (20 marks). There is no fixed pass mark—results use performance bands.
