NESA Society and Culture Stage 6 Syllabus
HSC Society and Culture is NESA’s 2-unit Year 12 course on social and cultural literacy, continuity and change, research methods, two depth studies, and the Personal Interest Project. Official assessment is mixed: written exam 60 marks (2h + 5m reading; 2026 ~1.55–4.00 pm) plus PIP 40 marks (intro/log/conclusion ≤500 words each; central material 2500–4000 words; 2026 hand-in 3 Aug; NESA submission 7 Aug). No fixed pass mark—Bands 1–6. Domestic entry included in HSC fees; overseas full-fee HSC candidates pay AUD $1,443 (2026). This bank is a free English MCQ study adaptation and cannot replace the PIP.
