About the HSC Modern Greek Beginners Exam

HSC Modern Greek Beginners is a Stage 6 Board Developed Course examined by NESA. Students develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through the interdependent perspectives of the personal world and Modern Greek-speaking communities. Topics include family life, home and neighbourhood; people, places and communities; education and work; friends, recreation and pastimes; holidays, travel and tourism; and future plans and aspirations.

Assessment

Oral conversation (~5 minutes, 20 marks). Written examination: Section I Listening (30 marks), Section II Reading (30 marks), Section III Writing in Modern Greek (20 marks).
