The Exame de Admissão is the official qualification process established by the Ordem dos Engenheiros de Angola (OEA) under Decreto n.º 39-E/92 and Regulamento n.º 4/20 (Regulamento de Admissão e Qualificação). It evaluates the technical, ethical, and legal competence of engineering graduates seeking full membership (Membro Efectivo) and official authorization to practice engineering in Angola.
Who is eligible to register and sit for the OEA admission exam?
Graduates holding a recognized Licenciatura or integrated master's degree in engineering from an accredited Angolan university or higher polytechnic institute (or foreign engineering graduates whose degree has been officially recognized by INAAREES) are eligible to register as Membros Estagiários and undergo the admission evaluation.
What core subjects are evaluated in the OEA admission process?
Under Regulamento n.º 4/20, candidates must complete a supervised internship (estágio) of at least six months and attend, with passing results, the admission courses defined by the OEA Conselho Directivo. These cover technical engineering knowledge, the mandatory Ethics and Professional Deontology course, and Portuguese/Technical English language components.
What is the passing score for the OEA admission examination?
Candidates must pass each admission course or knowledge assessment defined by the OEA Conselho Directivo under Regulamento n.º 4/20, and complete the mandatory Ethics and Professional Deontology course. The OEA does not publish a numeric pass mark on its official portal; júri decisions require the vote of at least two of the three jury members (Art. 32).
