Is the EPPP vocabulary game free?
Yes. The game is free to play with no sign-up. Signing in adds AI explanations for any term.
How does the EPPP vocabulary game work?
Each round shows a clue for one of 20 EPPP terms. Guess the term in six tries: green means the right letter in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the term but in another spot, and gray means it is not in the term. After the round, read the explanation and play the next term.
Where do the EPPP terms come from?
OpenExamPrep researched each term from the ASPPB (Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards) content outline and primary sources, listed under Sources on this page. The game is independent study material, not an official exam resource.
How many questions are on the EPPP?
The 2026 EPPP has two parts. Part 1-Knowledge contains 225 items: 175 scored and 50 pretest items, with 4 hours 15 minutes for exam items. Part 2-Skills contains 170 items: 130 scored and 40 pretest items, with 4 hours 10 minutes for exam items. Pretest items are not scored and are used for future exam development.
What is the passing score for the EPPP?
ASPPB uses a 200-800 scaled score and recommends 500 as the minimum standard for independent practice and 450 for supervised practice. Each licensing authority sets its own standard, but the 2026 handbook states that all licensing authorities currently accept the ASPPB recommended independent-practice score for EPPP Part 1-Knowledge.
