Yes. The game is free to play with no sign-up. Signing in adds AI explanations for any term.
How does the CPC vocabulary game work?
Each round shows a clue for one of 44 CPC terms. Guess the term in six tries: green means the right letter in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the term but in another spot, and gray means it is not in the term. After the round, read the explanation and play the next term.
Where do the CPC terms come from?
OpenExamPrep researched each term from the AAPC content outline and primary sources, listed under Sources on this page. The game is independent study material, not an official exam resource.
What is the CPC exam format?
AAPC's CPC exam has 100 multiple-choice questions to be answered in four hours, including 10 case-based questions. It is an open-codebook exam: candidates navigate the CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II code books while applying official coding rules.
What score do I need to pass CPC?
AAPC requires an overall score of 70% or higher, which means at least 70 of the 100 questions must be answered correctly.
