Can You Take the CHC Exam?

Education
Baccalaureate degree or higher plus 5 years of associated construction experience; or Associate degree plus 7 years; or High school diploma or equivalent plus 10 years
Experience
5 years of the required associated construction experience must have been on healthcare construction projects, under every education pathway
Additional Requirements
  • 3 years of management, supervisory, or administrative experience is required in addition to the construction experience
  • Candidates must have worked on healthcare construction projects within the last 3 years
  • Associated construction experience means construction/project management, estimating, planning, marketing, project superintendent or foreman, architect/engineer design, or a design and construction position within a healthcare organization
  • Candidates register through AHA Certification Center and test via PSI test centers or live remote proctoring
  • Certification cycle is 3 years with 45 contact hours of continuing education required for renewal
