The OSAS Grade 11 Science assessment measures student proficiency against the 2022 Oregon Science Standards (NGSS) for the high school band. It is reported across three categories — Physical Science, Life Science, and Earth and Space Science — through three-dimensional, phenomenon-based items.
Assessment
Online adaptive assessment of three-dimensional items organized as phenomenon-based item clusters and stand-alone items. Reporting categories are Physical Science, Life Science, and Earth and Space Science (roughly one-third each), with engineering design integrated across all three. Each item combines a Disciplinary Core Idea (DCI), a Science and Engineering Practice (SEP), and a Crosscutting Concept (CCC). Aligned to the 2022 Oregon Science Standards (NGSS); Grade 11 covers all high school science standards.
