About the HAVO Natuurkunde Exam
Netherlands HAVO Natuurkunde is the upper-secondary Physics subject in Hoger Algemeen Voortgezet Onderwijs. The national Centraal Examen is developed under the College voor Toetsen en Examens and published via Examenblad.nl; the 2026 CE syllabus specifies subdomains B1, B2, C1, C2, D1, E1, G1 and H with Domain A skills. The official CE is a Dutch written paper of open questions lasting 3 hours (13:30–16:30 in the 2026 rooster), with Binas or ScienceData allowed. The Schoolexamen follows each school’s PTA. This free bank of 100 original English multiple-choice questions is a study adaptation for building conceptual and calculation fluency across mechanics, energy, electricity, waves/signals, medical imaging, materials, astronomy and technology applications. It is not an official translation, not a CE-format simulation, and does not replace practising open-question exam technique in Dutch.
Assessment
Official eindexamen = Centraal Examen (CvTE national written open questions with uitwerkbijlage and correctievoorschrift) + Schoolexamen (school PTA). CE 2026 covers (sub)domains B1 Informatieoverdracht, B2 Medische beeldvorming, C1 Kracht en beweging, C2 Energieomzettingen, D1 Eigenschappen van stoffen en materialen, E1 Zonnestelsel en heelal, G1 Gebruik van elektriciteit, and H Natuurkunde en technologie, combined with Domain A skills. SE covers remaining programme elements (including D2 and I as specified). This bank is English MCQ practice only.
