ビジネス能力検定ジョブパス (B検ジョブパス / Jobpass) is a Japanese-language workplace-skills test administered by the Career Education Foundation (SGEC), with MEXT backing. Grades 3 and 2 use a 35-item mix of knowledge, newspaper, case, and statistics questions scored out of 100 points. Grade 3 lasts 60 minutes and passes at 70/100; Grade 2 lasts 90 minutes and passes at 65/100. 2026 tax-included fees are 3,800 JPY (3級), 5,000 JPY (2級), and 10,000 JPY (1級; 6,500 JPY with the published 2級-pass discount). Assessment

Three grades (3級, 2級, 1級). Anyone may sit any grade. Grade 2 and Grade 3 are Japanese multiple-choice on group paper sittings or venue CBT. Grade 1 is CBT constructed response. Official Grade 2/3 mix: アチーブ 20 + 新聞 5 + ケース 5 + 統計 5.

Time Limit

Grade 3: 60 minutes (paper 10:30–11:30 on the Reiwa 8/2026 group sitting of 6 December 2026). Grade 2: 90 minutes (paper 13:00–14:30 that day). Grade 1: 90 minutes of answering time.

Passing Score

Grade 3: 70/100. Grade 2: 65/100. Grade 1: 60/100 with floors of 25 points on 体系的知識 and 20 points on 実践応用.
