About the Iran Civil Service Exam Exam
The Joint Comprehensive Examination for Recruitment into the Executive Bodies of Iran (امتحان مشترک فراگیر دستگاههای اجرایی کشور) is the competitive written examination through which contractual and permanent civil service staff are recruited into Iranian ministries, state organisations and other bodies falling under Article 5 of the Civil Service Management Law. It is authorised by the Administrative and Recruitment Organization of Iran under Article 44 of that law, which requires recruitment to proceed by publicly advertised competitive examination, and it is delivered by the Jahad Daneshgahi Testing Center. Sittings are numbered; the 13th was held in Shahrivar 1404 and the 14th was announced for 1405. The paper has two parts. The General Domain, worth 40% of the written score, covers mastery of Islamic and revolutionary foundations, familiarity with upstream documents and laws, Persian language and literature, general English, intelligence and mental abilities, and information technology. The Job-Specific Specialised Domain, worth 60%, is set separately for each advertised job title and executive body. Every item is four-option multiple choice and one-third of a mark is deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates who reach the qualifying threshold go forward to supplementary assessment and a structured interview, and then to gozinesh vetting. This question bank is an independent English-language multiple-choice study adaptation by OpenExamPrep. It offers 100 practice questions on the general-domain subjects and on the Iranian administrative and constitutional law most often specified for administrative posts. The official examination is sat in Persian; this bank is not an official translation, not a simulation of the official paper, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Administrative and Recruitment Organization, the Jahad Daneshgahi Testing Center or Sanjesh.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Iran joint comprehensive recruitment examination?
It is the competitive written examination through which Iranian ministries, state organisations and other bodies covered by Article 5 of the Civil Service Management Law recruit civil service staff, held under Article 44 of that law.
Who runs the examination?
The Administrative and Recruitment Organization of Iran authorises and supervises it, and the Jahad Daneshgahi Testing Center delivers it. Some sittings have been run through the National Organization for Educational Testing (Sanjesh).
How is the written paper weighted and scored?
Every item is four-option multiple choice. The General Domain carries 40% of the written score and the Job-Specific Specialised Domain 60%, and one-third of a mark is deducted for each wrong answer, so three wrong answers cancel one correct answer.
What is the qualifying threshold (hadd-e nesab)?
A candidate must score at least 50% of the mean score achieved by the top three candidates, computed on the 40/60 composite, within the same quota, job title and locality. Candidates below it are removed from the remaining stages.
What subjects are in the General Domain?
In the 12th and 13th sittings: mastery of Islamic and revolutionary foundations at 10%, and upstream documents and laws, Persian language and literature, general English, intelligence and mental abilities, and information technology at 6% each. Other sittings have varied the list, so check the brochure for your own sitting.
Is this OpenExamPrep question bank an official simulation?
