The Category B driving theory test in Israel consists of 30 multiple-choice questions administered on a computer terminal. Candidates have 40 minutes to complete the test. What languages are available for the official driving theory exam in Israel?

What are the standard statutory speed limits in Israel?
Unless a sign indicates otherwise, the speed table in Regulation 54(a) sets, for a motor vehicle: 50 km/h on an urban road (דרך עירונית); 80 km/h on a non-urban road without a built median (דרך שאינה עירונית); 90 km/h on a non-urban road with a built median (שטח הפרדה בנוי); and 110 km/h on a designated expressway (דרך מהירה, entered at Sign 216). Regulation 54(b) caps speed at 30 km/h in a shared street (רחוב משולב, Sign 220) and in a traffic calming zone (אזור מיתון תנועה, Sign 222).
What are the rules and restrictions for new drivers (נהג חדש) in Israel?
A driver is classified as a 'New Driver' (נהג חדש) for the 2 years following licensure, regardless of age, and must display a reflective yellow sign reading 'נהג חדש' in black letters at the lower edge of the rear window. A 'young new driver' — one who has not yet turned 24 — must also complete a 6-month accompaniment programme (תוכנית ליווי): 3 months of day-and-night accompaniment followed by 3 months of night accompaniment between 21:00 and 06:00. A new driver aged 24 or over is exempt from accompaniment. Until reaching age 21, a new driver travelling without a qualified escort may carry no more than 2 passengers.
What is the legal blood alcohol limit for drivers in Israel?
Regulation 169א sets the general 'prescribed measure' at 50 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood, or the equivalent 240 micrograms per litre of exhaled air in a breath test. For a new driver (נהג חדש), a driver who has not yet turned 24, or a driver of a public or heavy commercial vehicle, the threshold drops to 50 micrograms per litre of exhaled air, or 10 milligrams per 100 millilitres of blood — low enough that no drinking before driving is realistic.
How long is a passed theory test valid in Israel, and what is the retake policy?
The Ministry of Transport states that a passed driving theory examination remains valid for 5 years. A candidate who fails may book and sit the test again from the following day, subject to booking an appointment and paying the examination fee for each sitting (63 NIS when paid online through the official theory-test booking site). An appeal against the result may be filed within 7 days of the test date; it is heard by the National Theory Committee, headed by the National Supervisor of Driving Instruction, and the response is sent by email.
