About the UKEN Notaris Exam
The Ujian Kode Etik Notaris (UKEN) is the compulsory professional ethics examination administered by Pengurus Pusat Ikatan Notaris Indonesia for candidate notaries who have completed the required internship. Passing it produces the certificate a candidate must file when applying to the ministry responsible for legal affairs for appointment as a notary.

Assessment
Three stages under Article 7(2) of Perkum INI No. 23/PERKUM/INI/2021: a compulsory pembekalan briefing, a written test weighted 70%, and an interview weighted 30%. Sittings are held in March and/or October (Article 5(2)) and may be regionalised to a Pengurus Wilayah with at least 50 candidates (Article 3(2)). Results are announced by the Pengurus Pusat no later than the eighth week after the sitting and are final and binding.
