About the DEIS Exam
The DEIS certifies advanced practice in producing knowledge about social issues, engineering social-transformation projects, and contributing to their implementation.
Exam sponsor: Regional DREETS and the examination jury under the ministry responsible for social affairs. The requirements and fees below concern the certification or admission exam, separate from our free practice resources.
Assessment
Three certification blocks; 700 hours of theory and 175 hours of practical training. The official curriculum may run for up to six semesters and does not state a universal two-year, 120-ECTS format.

What are the principal official DEIS assessments?
They include a 90-to-120-page research dissertation with a 50-minute defence, a 30-to-35-page collective development-project report with an individual oral component, and a professional article of 10,000 to 12,000 characters. Continuous assessments also contribute to certification.
Who can enter DEIS training?
The order provides several routes based on specified social-work or other qualifications and, for some routes, relevant experience. Eligibility must be checked against the current consolidated order and the provider; it is not limited to one degree-plus-experience formula.
