Successful examinees are ranked in merit order within their governorate's vacancy quota. Nominated candidates then complete the training prescribed by MOETE and pass a medical examination and narcotics test before being contracted as an Assistant Teacher (معلم مساعد). Conversion to the permanent Teacher grade later requires the Certificate of Validity (شهادة الصلاحية) from the Professional Academy for Teachers under the teachers' cadre framework of Law No. 155 of 2007.
