How does Auswahlmodus work?
Candidates receive three Vorschläge and choose one. The Vorschläge may include alternative instructions. When the translation is submitted, the choice must be documented on the Deckblatt and becomes binding; unselected proposals are handed to the supervising teacher.
Which aids are allowed?
A German spelling dictionary; one introduced Greek–German dictionary (electronic dictionaries are not allowed); and the list of subject-specific operators. No other aids unless the Durchführungsbestimmungen specify otherwise.
How long is the translation passage?
In the Leistungskurs (erhöhtes Niveau) the unseen Greek text is 175–200 words; in the Grundkurs 140–160 words. For poetry the minimum may be up to 10% lower.
Is there an exam fee?
No. The Landesabitur is a state school examination; regular school candidates pay no fee. External-candidate arrangements, where they exist, are school/authority-specific and not a published fee.
