The New Brunswick Grade 4 Scientific Literacy assessment is a provincial, skills-based online assessment of selected-response items for Grade 4 students in the Anglophone sector, based on the Properties and Uses of Earth Materials curriculum (2019) and the Holistic Curriculum. It is administered May 4-8, 2026, with 60 minutes of testing time plus an additional 60 minutes as a universal accommodation, is available in English or French, and reports achievement by strand: Investigation (53%), Sensemaking (30%), and Responsible and Sustainable Application (17%). There is no fee and no pass/fail.
