Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning - Grade 12 Provincial Tests
The Manitoba Grade 12 English Language Arts Standards Test is a provincial requirement for students completing any Grade 12 ELA course (Comprehensive Focus, Literary Focus or Transactional Focus). It is administered over four days for a total of 5.5 hours (2.5 hours on Day 1, one hour on Days 2-4, plus an optional extra 30 minutes on Days 1 and 4) and combines five Responding to Text questions based on a Process Booklet of written and visual texts with an extended Writing Task marked out of 40 across content/ideas, organization, language and style, and conventions. The result counts for 20% of the final course grade, there is no fee and no separate pass mark, and results are reported separately from term marks. This 100-question bank is an original multiple-choice study adaptation for course knowledge, reading analysis, composition choices and rubric awareness; it does not reproduce the official extended-writing task and is not an official-format simulation.
