The CAA-B Air Law Examination is a one-hour electronic exam sat at the CAA-B centre in Nassau and costs $250 per attempt, with up to four retakes. CAA-B states it is required to be taken once and is retaken only if the airman is involved in an enforcement action. It is the only theoretical knowledge examination CAA-B requires for the conversion or validation of a foreign pilot licence. CAA-B bases the questions on CAR LIC and CAR OPS 1 and publishes separate 010 Air Law learning objectives for PPL and for ATPL/CPL candidates. CAA-B does not publish the item count or a numeric pass mark; results are given as pass or fail immediately on submission.
