About the BTEB Electrician (EIM) Exam Exam
The BTEB National Skill Certificate in Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM), NTVQF Level-I, certifies competence in basic electrical installation and maintenance work in Bangladesh. The 12 units of competency cover basic mathematics, OSH, teamwork and the construction sector, using electrical tools, fundamental electrical skills (materials, drawing symbols, current and voltage measurement), wire and cable joints, circuit connections, installing electrical circuits, fittings, channel wiring and fan installation, alongside a hands-on practical assessment.
Assessment
Competency-Based Training & Assessment (CBT&A) under the NTVQF, combining knowledge checks (written and oral questioning) with a supervised practical demonstration for each of the 12 units of competency, administered by BTEB through affiliated technical institutes. The full NSC-I curriculum totals 360 nominal training hours.
