About the TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Foundation Exam

The TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Foundation certification is associated with the supervised, closed-book TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Part 1 exam (OGEA-101). Yes. The game is free to play with no sign-up. Signing in adds AI explanations for any term.

How do the TOGAF EA Foundation vocabulary games work?

There are 4 games built on 20 TOGAF EA Foundation terms. In Guess the Term, a clue describes one term and you have six tries to spell it, with green, yellow and gray letters showing how close you are. In Term Match, six terms appear as colored tiles; swap neighbors to line up three or more of the same term, and each match shows what the term means. In Term Pairs, twelve face-down cards hide six pairs of terms; flip two at a time to find each pair, and every pair you find shows what the term means. In Term Search, five terms hide in a grid of letters, reading across, down or diagonally; drag across a term to circle it, and each term you find shows what it means.

Where do the TOGAF EA Foundation terms come from?

OpenExamPrep researched each term from the The Open Group / Pearson VUE content outline and primary sources, listed under Sources on this page. The game is independent study material, not an official exam resource.

What is the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Foundation certification?

TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Foundation is The Open Group's Level 1 certification. Its associated English exam is TOGAF® Enterprise Architecture Part 1 (OGEA-101), and X2202 Version 4.0 defines its learning outcomes. OGEA-103 is a Combined Part 1 and Part 2 exam route; candidates do not have to pass OGEA-101 before sitting that combined exam.

How is OGEA-101 different from OGBA-101?

OGEA-101 (TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Foundation) is broad — it covers all four architecture domains (Business, Data, Application, Technology) and the full ADM at a foundation level. OGBA-101 (TOGAF Business Architecture Foundation) is the deep-dive Foundation-level cert for the Business domain — capability maps, value streams, organization mapping, information mapping, business models. Both are Foundation level; OGEA-101 is the generalist starting point, OGBA-101 is the Business Architecture specialist starting point.
