What is the exam structure in Pennsylvania?
Drinking water Classes A, B and C require the Part 1 General Exam plus every Part 2 technology subclass exam matching the facility. Drinking water Class D requires only the Part 1 General Exam. Wastewater treatment classifications require the Part 1 General Exam plus applicable subclass exams. WE distribution, WWE4 collections, WDc and WDn are standalone exams.
What is the Class Dc certification?
Class Dc is a standalone certification for groundwater systems serving fewer than 500 individuals or no more than 150 connections, whichever is less, that require only disinfection. DEP requires an operator to verify with a DEP inspector that the system qualifies before taking the exam, and the certificate cannot be upgraded without retesting.
