Yes. The game is free to play with no sign-up. Signing in adds AI explanations for any term.
How does the CEH vocabulary game work?
Each round shows a clue for one of 20 CEH terms. Guess the term in six tries: green means the right letter in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the term but in another spot, and gray means it is not in the term. After the round, read the explanation and play the next term.
Where do the CEH terms come from?
OpenExamPrep researched each term from the EC-Council / Pearson VUE content outline and primary sources, listed under Sources on this page. The game is independent study material, not an official exam resource.
What is the CEH exam format?
The CEH (ANSI) exam consists of 125 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 4 hours. There is no single passing score: EC-Council sets a cut score for each exam form, ranging from 60% to 85%. Questions cover 20 modules across ethical hacking concepts, reconnaissance, scanning, enumeration, system hacking, malware, sniffing, social engineering, DoS, web application attacks, SQL injection, wireless hacking, mobile platforms, IoT, cloud computing, and cryptography.
How much does the CEH certification cost?
The EC-Council store lists the CEH exam voucher at $950 for the remote-proctored ECC exam and $1,199 for a Pearson VUE test center; official training is priced separately. Self-study candidates also pay a non-refundable $100 eligibility application fee. CEH Practical (6-hour hands-on lab exam) costs $550. CEH Master requires passing both exams.
