About the Pennsylvania P&C Exam

The Pennsylvania Property & Casualty insurance examination is administered by PSI Services on behalf of the Pennsylvania Insurance Department. Pennsylvania is the fifth-largest state by population and has a significant insurance market.

Major Change: No Pre-Licensing Required (Effective April 2025)

As of April 29, 2025, Pennsylvania eliminated the pre-licensing education requirement. You can now schedule and take the exam without completing any pre-licensing courses.

Important: While education is no longer required, it is highly recommended due to exam difficulty.
