Can You Take the AR Real Estate Exam?
Check if you meet the basic eligibility requirements
- •Receive AREC approval before scheduling Pearson VUE exam
- •Must apply to AREC (with forms and fees) within 90 days of passing the exam
- •AREC application fee: $50 for Arkansas residents; $85 if taking exam
- •Post-license education must be completed within 6 months of initial licensure to remain active
- •Annual license renewal required (AREC 2026 License Renewal Form)
- •Salesperson cannot deal independently of principal broker
- •All real estate agreements must be in writing
- •Agency contracts must include written expiration date (AREC Reg 8.3)
